Kimberly Anderson-Matich
President/CEO
Kimberly Anderson-Matich was introduced to the security industry at a very young age. She had always aspired to owning her own company and as a result, following in her father's footsteps, established Anderson Security Agency, Ltd. offering professional security officers to businesses throughout Arizona and Nevada. Ms. Matich has surrounded herself with experienced and talented people with decades of experience in the security industry. Advanced training in security technology, industrial security training, and her involvement in the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) have enhanced her success as well as her talent in public relations.
Kim's foresight has allowed her company to introduce the state's first privately-owned emergency command unit, which is a multi-purpose vehicle used for on-site training, human resources, emergency, and strike situations. Ms. Matich serves on the Board of Directors of Silent Witness and FaxNet1; additionally she has served on the board of Goodwill Industries and Workshops for Youth and Families; she is a past Secretary and Treasurer of the Phoenix Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and serves on the ASIS National Private Security Services Council. Ms. Matich was selected as the ASIS Phoenix Chapter's Security Professional of the Year in 2000, she was a regional finalist in the Bank One Working Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards for Customer Care and Client Service and in 2007 she was a finalist in the Arizona State University William P. Carey’s Spirit of Enterprise Award, and has won a Community Service Award from the North Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Kim serves as the executive director for the H.P. Anderson Sr. Private Security Museum. In addition, Ms. Matich oversees the prestigious annual citizenship award given to a local child for a heroic act he or she exuded.
Ms. Matich has been instrumental in introducing women into the security industry. She has hired, trained, and promoted women to equal positions with the men in the company; not to mention the large role she plays in philanthropic services throughout the Valley of the Sun. Being a mentor and an extreme community activist is only a miniscule duty Matich performs. She and her company belong to and support the Better Business Bureau, the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, and the Arizona Contractors Association. |
